MSU Libraries join HathiTrust

April 17, 2020

The Mississippi State University Libraries is pleased to announce that we have joined HathiTrust as a member library.

Founded in 2008, HathiTrust is a nonprofit collaborative of academic and research libraries that preserves over 17 million digitized items. The HathiTrust Digital Library provides reading access to full text as allowable under US copyright laws (over 6.5 million items) and “computational access” to materials still restricted by copyright. This extensive archive currently includes over 17 million volumes, over 9 million book titles, and almost 800 terabytes of data, making it one of the largest online archives in the world.

Access is available through the library’s list of online databases: https://guides.library.msstate.edu/az.php.

Additional searching guides can be found here: https://www.hathitrust.org/member-toolkit.

Users with questions about the HathiTrust collection or who would like to request a workshop on this resource can contact the librarian through our Ask-a-Librarian service: http://lib.msstate.edu/help.
