International Titles

Through 2009, the nineteen novels and one non-fiction work of best-selling author John Grisham have been published in 29 languages. Since 2007, the Mississippi State University Libraries have been making available the John Grisham International Collection, a large collection of foreign language editions of John Grisham works. This collection currently contains 400 editions of 14 titles in 28 languages. The purpose of the collection is to make best-selling titles readily available to international students and to individuals and classes who are learning foreign languages. 

Languages included are: Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Marathi, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai and Turkish. 

Titles included are The Brethren, The Chamber, The Client, The Firm, The King of Torts, A Painted House, The Partner, The Pelican Brief, The Rainmaker, The Runaway Jury, Skipping Christmas, The Street Lawyer, The Testament and A Time to Kill.

More than 300 editions have been placed in the circulating collection of the MSU Library and are readily available for check-out by searching the catalog and browsing the Library's shelves. 

In order to make copies of John Grisham international titles widely available, more than 1400 copies have been cataloged for the John Grisham International Collection. Copies in this collection are available for check-out by request at the Access Services desk or through interlibrary loan request.

For the most part, one copy of each edition found in the John Grisham International Collection has been cataloged for the Special Collections Department. These copies may be used in the Special Collections Department only.

Additional titles will be added to the John Grisham International Collection as they become available.
